Happy Holidays !

Just an update on our holiday hours.  December 24th we will be open from 10am-3pm, perfect for that last minute gift certificate stocking stuffer.  We will be closed December 25th. All other days we will keep our regular hours … EXCEPT… for December 31st when we will be closed to count inventory.  Speaking of the dreaded inventory,  we are having our  We Don’t Want To Count It For Inventory sale Sunday December 26th through Thursday December 30th.    Everything marked with an orange dot ( and there will be A LOT marked with orange dots) will be 25% off ( 1/2yd. minimum cut on all sale fabrics) … or … buy 2 continuous yards of orange dot fabric and get the 3rd continuous yard free !  Our regular sale fabrics will also be reduced. Blue dot (home dec and twill weight, and yes there are some Kokka fabrics)  will go from $12.50 yd. down to $10 yd.   Yellow dot fabric that is normally $7 yd. marked down to $6,   green dot fabric regularly $6 yd. reduced to $5,   and red dot fabric usually $5 yd. slashed to $4 !    Now admittedly we are not doing this for totally altruistic reasons…We really don’t want to count it for inventory!    We hope to see you soon, but if you cannot make it in we want to wish you a wonderful holiday season and hopefully we’ll see you in the new year.

For all you procrastinators,  we will be open December 24th from 10am-3pm.  We are closed on Christmas Day. 

We are closed New Years Eve for inventory,  but are open our regular hours New Years Day, 12pm-5pm.

When asked if he could see anything upon reaching King Tuts  burial chamber  Egyptologist Howard Carter responded,  “Yes, wonderful things”.  Going to Quilt Market in Houston was kind of like that, (except for the mummy’s curse)  I saw (and ordered) some wonderful things. They will start arriving in December, and for the next few months we should be getting some fantastic new fabrics. But in the mean time, here are some great prints that arrived last week…  Wonderful things indeed….

The class for this great dress will be coming after the first of the year so start narrowing down your fabric choices now.  This Colette pattern is a beautiful wrap dress that has pockets and no closures (no zips no buttons!!!)   Come in and see the sample in the shop…it is gorgeous!     Mondays  March 7th, 14th & 21st   6:30-9:00pm   $50  with Sue
